Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 26, 2022

The privacy of your data — and it is your data, not ours! — is a big deal to us. In this policy, we lay out: what data we collect and why; how your data is handled; and your rights to your data. We promise we never sell your data: never have, never will.

This policy applies to www.plankido.com and all products built by 14110013 Canada Inc. doing business as Plankido, including Video Scheduler and Workout Loop.

What we collect and why

Our guiding principle is to collect only what we need. Here’s what that means in practice:

Name and Email Address

We collect name and email address for the purpose of communicating with you about our products. Submitting your email address is entirely voluntary and you may unsubscribe at any time. We’ll never sell your personal info to third parties, and we won’t use your name or company in marketing statements without your permission either.

Third party services

We use MailerLite to manage our email list. We use third party services including CDN services that host JavaScript, and YouTube for videos.

Cookies and Local Storage

We do not use any cookies, and YouTube videos are requested without cookies. Local Storage in your browser may be used to save information essential for functionality locally; this data is not sent to our servers.

Analytics

We want to process as little personal information as possible when you use our website. That's why we've chosen Fathom Analytics for our website analytics, which doesn't use cookies and complies with the GDPR, ePrivacy (including PECR), COPPA and CCPA. Using this privacy-friendly website analytics software, your IP address is only briefly processed, and we (running this website) have no way of identifying you. As per the CCPA, your personal information is de-identified. You can read more about this on Fathom Analytics' website.

The purpose of us using this software is to understand our website traffic in the most privacy-friendly way possible so that we can continually improve our website and business. The lawful basis as per the GDPR is "f); where our legitimate interests are to improve our website and business continually." As per the explanation, no personal data is stored over time.

Voluntary correspondence

When you write Plankido with a question or to ask for help, we keep that correspondence, including the email address, so that we have a history of past correspondences to reference if you reach out in the future.

We also store any information you volunteer like surveys. Sometimes when we do customer interviews, we may ask for your permission to record the conversation for future reference or use. We only do so if you give your express consent.

Information we do not collect

We don’t collect any characteristics of protected classifications including age, race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or physical and mental abilities or disabilities. You may provide these data voluntarily, such as if you include a pronoun preference in your email signature when writing into our Support team. We also do not collect any biometric data.

Changes & questions

We may update this policy as needed to comply with relevant regulations and reflect any new practices.

Have any questions, comments, or concerns about this privacy policy, your data, or your rights with respect to your information? Please get in touch by emailing us at support@plankido.com and we’ll be happy to answer them!
